Steps on how to change JDE administrator password


Steps involved
  1. Stop all Enterprise One Services from enterprise, batch & test server, also stop all JAS html instances for PS, DV, PY & PD instance

  1. Change database user password from sqlplus prompt
Alter user jde identified by new_password

  1. Disable security server in the JDE.INI
[SECURITY]
SecurityServer=
;SecurityServer=Enterprise Server Name

  1. Login to the FAT client from workstation with the new JDE user ID & Password

  1. Go to P98OWSEC, from form exit select Add System User

Click on Find

Select JDE user & enter new password in password coloumn
  1. In P98OWSEC, for JDE user ID click on Admin Password Revis


Enter new password in Password column

  1. Exit from FAT Client

  1. Using server manager update new JDE password IN JDE.INI on Enterprise server in [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS], [SECURITY] & [WORKFLOW]

[Miscellaneous] Configuration
  1. On Web Server change JDBJ.INI with new password using server manager
Database -> JDBJ Bootstrap Session

  1. Run PORTTEST with new system user ID and password

  1. Start Enterprise One Services. If there are multiple logic server then repeat process as discuss in point number 8
  2. Enable security server from client machine. Login and submit UBE to the server. This will confirm DB connectivity

  1. Login thru HTML client and again submit UBE to re-confirm
